William Knoke.  Mr. Knoke is President and Managing Director of the Harvard Capital Group, focused on high-technology and venture-equity placements, valuations, and in repositioning clients to maximize future valuations.  His work spanned scores of industries including pharmaceuticals, biomedical technology, electronics, industrial processes, aerospace, consumer-products, banking and insurance has given him a rare insider’s look at corporate operations from a wide variety of perspectives.  Mr. Knoke is also the international bestselling author of Bold New World:  The Essential Road Map to the 21st Century, which is focused on the future business and social structures just unfolding, and is translated into twelve languages.  Mr. Knoke is currently working on a book that unveils how corporations can best adapt to a world order of increasing complexity and accelerating connections.  He is a noted keynote speaker, opening business conventions around the world.  Mr. Knoke is a citizen of both the United States and the European Union, and speaks four Western European languages.  Mr Knoke is a cum laude honor graduate of Stanford University in Economics, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Rashid Alvi.  Mr. Alvi is a Managing Director of the Harvard Capital Group who leads our practice in merger, acquisition, and divestiture transactions.  Mr. Alvi has more than 20 years of experience advising on corporate deals at the highest levels.  Mr. Alvi’s services include business valuations, evaluating competing bids, structuring potential deals, negotiating on the business and legal side, running the due diligence process, supervising outside lawyers, and helping with post-closing business and legal matters.  Among other deals, he has represented private companies in healthcare on their acquisition by public companies (Acro Healthcare on its sale to Lincare, Inc. and Archbow Consulting on its sale to Omnicom Health Group.)  Mr. Alvi graduated from Columbia Law School in 1999 and then worked at the law firm of Davis Polk, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions.  He then moved to Wall Street, working at Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs.  At Goldman Sachs, Mr. Alvi advised the Goldman Sachs Investment Partners (GSIP) fund and the GS Principal Strategies desk on their private investments as a lead internal transactional lawyer.  Mr. Alvi also advises high-growth companies on strategic and operational matters and has served as a chief strategy officer for several companies. His investment banking, legal, and strategic knowledge make him a valuable resource for our clients.

Shahzad Rauf.  Mr. Rauf is a Managing Director at the Harvard Capital Group, leading transactions in global expansion.  With a career spanning over 25 years, he has amassed a wealth of leadership experience in North America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa, across industries such as Telecommunication, FMCG, Information Technology, and Healthcare. Notably, Mr. Rauf previously served as the Chief Strategy Officer at Warid Telecom, a UAE-based Abu Dhabi Investment group, playing a strategic role in multi-billion-dollar global telecom operations. He played a pivotal role as the launch director for telecom greenfield expansion projects in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Uganda, Congo, and Ivory Coast and was a key member of the executive team during the $900 million acquisition of a 30% stake in Warid Telecom Pakistan by Singtel Telecom. Additionally, he held the position of Head of Procurement for global telecom operations and negotiated purchases exceeding $2 billion with tier-one suppliers like Ericsson, Motorola, Huawei, Dell, ZTE, and Cisco. Mr. Rauf focuses on creating collaborations to maximize revenues and growth for our clients. His globally diversified experience is highly valued by clients seeking to bolster their presence in the USA, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa. He is a seasoned negotiator and often works on deals involving cutting-edge technology. He serves as a Director of the Equity Global Group (a firm specializing in providing capital advisory services to top-tier/middle market corporates and financial institutions in Southeast Asia and the Middle East) and serves as the Chief Strategy Officer of Xylexa.ai (a developer and provider of an AI-Powered computer-aided diagnostics CAD-X platform). Holding both MBA and MSIS degrees, Mr. Rauf’s extensive global expertise remains indispensable for organizations aiming to establish a robust presence in these regions.

Yasir Alvi.  Mr. Alvi is a Managing Director at Harvard Capital Group, focused on mergers and acquisitions, valuation, strategic planning and operating advice for clients.  Prior to Harvard Capital, Mr. Alvi worked in the global transportation and infrastructure investment banking group of Morgan Stanley in New York, covering clients in airline, shipping, logistics, leasing and trucking verticals.  Mr. Alvi has experience working on a broad spectrum of transactions, including buyside/sellside M&A, debt and equity financings, fairness opinions and valuations.  Representative transaction in the past include The Blackstone Group’s initial debt $600 million IPO, Box Ships $132 million IPO, Echo Global Logistics $80 million IPO, XPO Logistics $126 million follow-on offering, and Spirit Airlines $160 million follow-on offering.  Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Alvi worked at Microsoft corporation in Seattle as an engineering manager.  Mr. Alvi graduated with honors from Princeton University with a BA in computer science, and also earned an MBS from the Wharton School with honors, concentrating in finance.

Louie Ucciferri.  Mr. Ucciferri is a Director of Harvard Capital Group, and heads up our broker-dealer liaisons for syndicated projects.  Mr. Ucciferri is the former Chief Compliance Officer and Financial Principal at EdgeLine Capital, a placement agent that has raised over $3.5 billion of capital for private equity firms and hedge funds from institutional investors; such as public and corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations and family offices.  Mr. Ucciferri was recently CEO of Regent Capital Group, an independent broker dealer that raised over $250 million in equity capital for commercial real estate investments.  Prior to that, he was Vice President of Operations at Commonwealth Financial Network, one of the largest independent broker dealers in the US, where he set up the firm’s e1uity trading desk and ran the firm’s day-to-day operations, including recruiting brokers from Wall Street’s larger firms.  Prior to that, he was with Dean Witter Reynolds and managed the retail trading operations at fidelity Investment in Boston.  Mr. Ucciferri is a graduate of Stanford University with dual degrees in Economics and Sociology.

Stan Marcus.  Mr. Marcus is a Director at Harvard Capital Group, focused on corporate debt placements.  He is also  Managing Director of Capital Business West, specializing in debt and private placements.  Mr. Marcus previously spent 20 years in the commercial finance and banking industry with GE Capital, Congress Financial, Bank of NY, Coast Business Credit and Marquette Business Credit.  He has completed over 400 financing for over $2 billion in fundings, in almost all industries from manufacturing and distribution to retail, construction and entertainment.  Mr. Marcus also has completed over 75 transactions in investment banking with Shearson Loeb Rhoades and Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin, specializing in mergers & acquisition, debt and equity private placement and corporate restructurings.  Mr. Marcus hold a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a JD from UCLA Law School.
